Davante Adams skipping Kay Adams show as Raiders trade drama boils

There is a lot happening in Davante Adams’ world, according to Kay Adams.

The Raiders star wide receiver, who requested a trade from Las Vegas last week, will miss his Tuesday appearance on her “Up and Adams” FanDuel TV show as the sweepstakes for the six-time Pro Bowler heat up.

“Oh boy – lots happening at the moment with our guy Adams … he won’t be on TOMORROW. Sorry bout that and stay tuned,” Kay wrote on X shortly after promoting his Tuesday segment in a separate post.

Adams, 31, has yet to address his absence on the show, but Kay’s message, which included a bulging eyes emoji, added intrigue to the situation.

It came after Adams made headlines for a separate appearance on the “Up and Adams Show” last week, when he said he hadn’t heard from Raiders coach Antonio Pierce after a screenshot online showed that Pierce’s Instagram account liked a social media post about possibly trading Adams.

Kay asked Adams directly about the situation, which he said was “hard” to comment on.

“I keep my head down and keep doing my thing and let the chips fall where they may as it pertains to that,” the All-Pro wideout said. “But there’s been no communication with anybody from the team since that (post) became a thing. It’s kind of like the weekly, ‘What’s up with Tae?’ thing.

“There’s always some sort of drama, but at the end of the day 17 (his uniform number) doesn’t create any of it, so people can say what they want. But I’m just chilling, trying to be the motto for not stirring the spot, and just locking in and doing what I gotta do.”

Last week, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported the Raiders have informed other teams that they would “consider” trading Adams for a package that would include a second-round pick and additional compensation.

Adams was linked to the Jets and Saints, where his former quarterbacks, Aaron Rodgers and Derek Carr, currently are dealing with injuries, respectively.

Rodgers told reporters he has a low-ankle sprain after Gang Green’s 23-17 loss to Minnesota at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London on Sunday.

Carr will get an MRI on Tuesday after he exited Monday’s 26-13 loss to the Chiefs due to an oblique injury in the fourth quarter.

Meanwhile, the Jets have their own upheaval as they fired head coach Robert Saleh Tuesday morning after a 2-3 start.

Adams missed the Raiders’ last two games with a hamstring injury — the Raiders’ 20-16 win over the Browns on Sept. 29, and a loss to the Broncos, 34-18 on Oct. 6.

The Raiders (2-3) face the Steelers (3-2) in Las Vegas on Sunday.
