Realtors will often talk about kitchen renovations offering the highest return on investment relative to any other end of the home.

It’s a space in which home owners spend a lot of time and certainly value. That same mindfulness toward investing in one’s kitchen can be incorporated into buying a new home.

Being considerate of size, design and specifications today will pay off down the road.

A shining example of a show home giving its kitchen the star treatment is the Denali 4 by Sterling Homes. This is a 2,224-square-foot front drive single-family model with four bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms.

Its spacious, centrally located executive kitchen exudes luxury. This is supported through upgraded selections such as the black granite island with waterfall edge, and Silgranit sink.

An elegant upgraded chimney hoodfan built into the cabinets raises the level of the kitchen, as well. The cabinets are multi-toned with darker selections on the bottom and lighter ones on top.

The hood fan and range are flanked by a stainless steel wall over and fridge with french doors.

At the above mentioned island, there is an eating bar with seating for four people and pendant lighting above it.

The kitchen includes a walk-through pantry that reaches the mud room. People who return from a trip to the grocery store will appreciate the quick and easy path for carrying in bags.

Through an open-concept design, the great room and dining area line up along the main floor’s rear-facing wall where there are tall windows and sliding glass doors.

The sliding glass doors provide a direction between the dining area and a rear deck. This is especially convenient on nights when a member of the family barbecues, but the meal is consumed indoors.

The focal point of its 12-foot six-inch by 15-foot great room is an upscale box-shaped fireplace with tile surround.

Working remotely can be a challenge for some people. Based on a lack of space dedicated to these needs, their home office can sometimes amounts to a laptop on the dining area table.

In this home, there is a flex room that can function as a home office directly behind the foyer. Three box-shaped cutouts with glass on an interior wall of this office are dual-purpose. They both offer an additional source of sunshine and elevate the visual interest of this area of the home.

The office pulls in natural light through a window on an exterior wall, as well.

In the foyer, privacy is a consideration. From this spot, there are no sight lines of the rest of the main floor.

Another area within homes widely valued by house hunters is the ensuite in the primary bedroom. A high note of the ensuite in this show home is its spacious shower with full-height tile and a glass door.

There’s also a deep soaker tub and vanity containing two sinks.

A full bathroom near the largest of the three secondary bedrooms features a vanity with two sinks, as well. This bedroom measures 12 feet six inches by 10 feet six inches and has a walk-in closet.

The other secondary bedrooms are side-by-side and face the central bonus room.
