‘Rust’ gets a premiere date — 3 years after tragedy struck set — but will Alec Baldwin be there?

Alec Baldwin’s movie “Rust” is finally coming out.

Three years after cinematographer Halyna Hutchins was shot and killed on-set, the Western film will have its world premiere at the Camerimage International Film Festival in Poland in November.

The festival announced Thursday that the premiere will honor Hutchins, who was 42 years old when she died.

After the screening of the film, director Joel Souza, cinematographer Bianca Cline and Stephen Lighthill, Halyna’s mentor at the American Film Institute, will participate in a panel to “discuss events surrounding the film, offering insight into continuing production after Halyna’s death.”

The panel will also discuss “the unique visual style that Halyna developed on set and explain how Bianca Cline, who took over her work, managed to remarkably replicate Halyna’s style.”

Festival director Marek Zydowicz said in a statement, “We knew that our event was important to her, and that she felt at home among cinematographers from all over the world, who have been gathering at Camerimage for over 30 years. During the festival, we honoured Halyna’s memory with a moment of silence and a panel of cinematographers discussed safety on set. Now, once again, together with cinematographers and film enthusiasts, we will have this special opportunity to remember her.”

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Baldwin, 66, will not attend the premiere, despite being the lead actor and a producer on the project.

The Post has reached out to Baldwin’s rep for comment.

In October 2021, Baldwin fired a real gun mistakenly loaded with a live round on the set of “Rust” in New Mexico, killing Hutchins and wounding Souza, 51.

The movie’s armorer, Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, was convicted of involuntary manslaughter and sentenced to 18 months in prison.

Baldwin, meanwhile, was charged with involuntary manslaughter.

The “30 Rock” actor maintained that he never pulled the trigger of the prop gun. According to investigators, the weapon contained a live round of ammunition when it should have only included a “blank.”

The father of eight faced a maximum of 18 months behind bars for the death of Hutchins.

But during Baldwin’s trial in July, the judge tossed out the case and slammed prosecutors for withholding critical evidence from the defense.

Baldwin could face a mistrial, though, as prosecutors continue to pursue charges against the actor. Special prosecutor Kari Morrissey filed motions to reconsider the dismissal of the manslaughter case.

“This is a smoke screen created by the defense and was intended to sway and confuse the court … and it was successful,” Morrissey said in the Aug. 30 motion.

Despite Hutchins’ death, the “Rust” cast and crew — including Baldwin — continued production on the film in April 2023. Cline joined the project as the cinematographer, while Hutchins’ husband, Matthew Hutchins, became an executive producer.

Filming wrapped in May 2023.

Souza told Vanity Fair in August he was initially reluctant to complete the film, but he changed his mind because he felt “confident” that Hutchins “would have wanted her last work to be seen.”

“If it was me that had gotten killed instead of her—as it should have been—she would do the same thing,” the director said. “She would push for my final work to be seen.”

“It’s also important to Matt,” Souza added of Hutchins’ husband. “He knows it’s cathartic for people who cared about her and people who might have appreciated her work to see that.”

He also confirmed the scene that was rehearsed when the shooting occurred “vanishes in its entirety” in the final cut.
