That was fast.
Although it may seem like just yesterday that the New York Rangers were getting their hearts broken in the NHL’s 2023-24 Eastern Conference Finals, Peter Laviolette’s Broadway Blueshirts are already midway through preseason — they boast a sparkling 4-1 record — and ready to kickstart 2024-25 with a bang.
The first game of the regular season against the Penguins goes down Wednesday, Oct. 9 at Pittsburgh’s PPG Paints Arena.
After that, the 2023-24 President’s Cup winners head home to Madison Square Garden for a two-game stint against the brand-new Utah Hockey Club on Saturday, Oct. 12 and the Detroit Red Wings on Monday, Oct. 14.
And if you want to be at either of those games — or any others — tickets are available for all 2024-25 NY Rangers games at MSG to see Igor Shesterkin, Chris Kreider, Adam Fox and co. on their home ice.

Following their President’s Cup winning season — they went 55-23-4 — the Blueshirts breezed through the postseason handily taking down the Washington Capitals in five games and then the Carolina Hurricanes, 4-2.
The exciting club finally met their match in the Eastern Conference Championship when they lost in six games to the eventual 2024 Stanley Cup champion Florida Panthers.
