Night Light Festival

Night Light Festival is a 3-night event featuring curated light performances including projection mapped architecture and light-art installations. There will also be music and other art forms. The festival celebrates autumn’s transition into longer nights.

Where: Victoria Park

When: Thursday, Friday and Saturday: 6 to 11 p.m.

Haunted Mini Golf

Haunted mini golf is back at WinSport, offering an family-friendly 18-hole course. The course will be well-lit, allowing children to play safely, while still challenging enough that all ages will have fun. Visitors are encouraged to show their Halloween spirit by dressing in costumes.

When: Thursday and Friday: 4 to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday: 1 to 9 p.m.

Beetlejuice at Burnswest Theatre

Get in the Halloween spirit early with a showing of Beetlejuice at The Confluence. A ticket to the movie screening includes admission to the Confluence Cultural Centre and a small popcorn. Other drinks and snacks will be available for purchase.

When: Sunday: 2 to 4 p.m.

Calgary International Film Festival

It’s the final weekend of the 25th Calgary International Film Festival (CIFF). The 11-day event will wrap up having shown over 200 films created by artists from Canada and around the world. It is the largest film festival in the province, with films of all genres being shown. CIFF welcomes all attendees and encourages those who have never attended a film festival before, to take part in the festivities.

Orange Shirt Day at The Confluence

On Monday, Canada will observe National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. The Confluence is hosting an event for the day, offering free admission, two walking tours, a Blackfoot art exhibit, film screenings and a reconciliation letter writing activity. Visitors are encouraged to wear orange.
