2026 Honda Passport Trailsport looks off-road-ready

Right now the Trailsport’s primarily a cosmetic upgrade, but Honda’s teaser video looks far more serious

  • A new teaser shows the Trailsport trim of the 2026 Passport doing some rock-crawling off-road
  • Upgrades include a “new, more powerful” DOHC 3.5L V6, along with torque-vectoring AWD
  • The trim was mostly an appearance package when it bowed in ’22, but it seems Honda really wants to make it work

The teaser also says the new Trailsport will have a “best-in-class” torque-vectoring all-wheel-drive (AWD) system, and that’s obviously what the camouflaged model in the video is using to get around in the great outdoors.

By the look of the video, this one might be a lot closer to them, and Honda says it’s putting the Passport Trailsport through “the very highest level of testing validation on challenging trails all over North America,” including rocks in Moab, sand dunes in western Michigan, and muddy trails in Appalachia.

The new 2026 Passport, including the Trailsport, will be unveiled later this fall, and arrive at dealerships early in 2025. We’re hoping it won’t be long before we get one dirty and see if it lives up to the hype.
