Hole-in-one report: Twice-as-nice celebration at Hamptons

An afternoon shotgun start at Hamptons Golf Club must have turned into an evening party, with Kevin Glass and Cindy Gibson celebrating same-day aces at the private facility. Glass was perfect with a pitching wedge on the 137-yard ninth hole, while Gibson swished her tee shot — an awesome eight-iron from 100 yards away — on No. 12.

Paul Livingstone, who works in the golf shop/sales office at Kananaskis Country, had reason to hoot and holler after his hole-in-one on No. 8 on the Mount Kidd Course. Livingstone launched a nine-iron across the river and was right on the money from 138 yards out.

Karyn Kerr didn’t require a putter on the eighth at Douglasdale, instead finding the flag-stick with one thump of a four-hybrid from 95 yards away.

Also at Douglasdale, Helma Price hammered a three-wood on No. 17 and her aim was outstanding from a distance of 130 yards.

Brian Lilley will be saying only good things about his seven-wood, his weapon of choice for a 133-yard memory maker on No. 6 on Highwood’s Heritage Nine.

Andrew Hayes buried a beauty on No. 11 at Winston Golf Club. Eight-iron was the right call for a 123-yard challenge.

Hole 13 at Silver Springs proved lucky for Joanne Hammond. She was accurate with an eight-iron from 116 yards away.

Kevin Van Ameringen potted a pitching wedge on the sixth on the scorecard at Lakeview, which spans 116 yards.
