Air support helps Saskatoon police during car chase through city

A 24-year-old is charged with fleeing police, impaired and dangerous driving, meth possession and breaching conditions.

A man was arrested and charged after fleeing police on Saskatoon’s east side on Saturday.

They started to follow the vehicle while members of the air support team monitored it from the sky.

The vehicle sped away through the city. Officers set up a tire deflation device on Warman Road near Cavers Street that successfully stopped it.

“The vehicle came to a stop after colliding with another vehicle near the Circle Drive overpass. However, the driver then exited the vehicle and began to flee on foot,” the release said.
