The incident occurred on Chabot St., near Everett St., in Villeray—St-Michel—Parc-Extension borough.
A preliminary investigation indicated someone sprayed a flammable liquid on the car and then lit it on fire before fleeing.
Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze.
