2025 Toyota Sequoia starts at $86,525 in Canada

Top-tier Capstone strays into six-figure territory

  • 2025 Toyota Sequoia TRD Pro models get a new colour option
  • Massaging seats are now part of the Platinum and Capstone grades
  • It starts at $86,525 in Canada, but there are now more six-figure Sequoia trims than ever before

The front seats get a standard massaging function on the tony Platinum and Capstone grades, providing the sort of seated comfort which has been available in a few competitors for some spell. Every trim gets heat for the front chairs and tri-zone climate control to keep the peanut gallery happy. Speaking of, a bench remains available in the second row though captain’s buckets are on offer to provide a measure of DMZ area between warring sibling factions.

Elephantine towing mirrors are now offered as an option on the top-rung Capstone trim, likely as a result of feedback from shoppers who wanted the Cap’s super-lux features but also the ability to see what’s going on astern whilst hauling a trailer. They are a $300 option.

As is tradition just about every year, Toyota is introducing another paint shade exclusive to the TRD Pro trim — this time it is called Mudbath. Given the name, it is exactly what you’d expect: a rather industrial and slightly military-like brown. Less charitable folks may call it Premium Beige. Last year’s TRD Pro special colour, the ochre-like Terra, has vanished from the list.

No matter the trim, one will find the brand’s iForce Max hybrid powertrain under the hood, deploying a twin-turbo V6 and electric motors to the tune of 427 horsepower and 583 lb-ft of torque. This, along with a 10-speed automatic and four-wheel drive, permit the brute to haul a maximum of 9,000 pounds when properly equipped.

The 2025 Toyota Sequoia is now on sale at Toyota Dealers across Canada.
