An SQ spokesperson confirmed the Hell’s Angels link but declined to confirm reporting that the victim was a 14-year boy.
Quebec’s public safety minister reacted with disgust on Thursday amid reports of the suspicious death of a 14-year-old boy that may be linked to gang activity.
A Sûreté du Québec spokesperson confirmed to The Gazette that a body was found Monday in Frampton, a community about 50 kilometres southeast of Quebec City. The SQ confirmed the body was found in an area frequented by the Hells Angels, but would not confirm whether the group was connected to the death.
The spokesperson declined to confirm the identity or age of the deceased individual, saying that the body has yet to be formally identified.
Provincial public safety minister François Bonnardel posted on X that he was “shocked” by the incident. “It is vile for street gangs to enlist young people, children, to do their dirty work.”
The SQ has already interrogated and released one suspect, the spokesperson said. They said the investigation continues and declined to provide further details.
