Hollywood actor Julia Fox shut down any and all pregnancy speculation after she uploaded a series of selfies showing off a baby bump with the caption ‘oops’.
The 34-year-old Italian-American actor is a mum to her three-year-old son Valentino who she shares with her ex-husband Peter Artemiev.
And although the Uncut Gems star has previously expressed her hopes for Valentino to have some siblings at some point, it’s not happening anytime soon – despite appearances.
The actor – who is known for wearing daring and empowering outfits – confused fans after she shared some mirror selfies in which she wore a matching white top and shorts with a pair of bejewelled crocs, oh and a baby bump, to her Instagram story.
But after many assumed she was announcing that she was expecting her next child, she jumped to clarify the mix-up.
‘Omg its for a movie!! THE BELLY IS NOT REAL!!!’ she wrote in black text on a blurry grey background.
Although it is not certain what Julia is currently filming, last month it was announced she had landed a role as a wealthy pregnant woman who falls in love with a younger woman in an upcoming LGBTQ+ romantic drama, Perfect, opposite Ashley Moore.
The synopsis from the climate-dystopian drama continues: ‘Their sudden relationship is complicated by an upcoming birth, turbulent social events and clashing values about the world’s uncertain future.’
So that seems like the most likely candidate.
Julia – who briefly had a high-profile relationship with Kanye West – came out as a lesbian on TikTok earlier this year and has opened up more about her identity in a new interview.
‘I’ve been going through a lot of changes. I was so conditioned to use my body and my identity to cater to men, because they were a means to an end. But as a child, I would openly identify. In third grade, I was like, “I’m a lesbian”,’ she told Lana Rhoades in Interview magazine.
She continued: ‘Now that I’ve had so much time away from men, I’m like, “Oh my god. I really was a lesbian all along.”
‘I didn’t even allow myself to go there, because I was like, “I need a sugar daddy.” But now, looking back at all my past behaviors, I’m like, “Obviously you are a lesbian.’
The screenstar also shared that she has been celibate for ‘two-and-a-half years’ after ‘something snapped’.
Julia currently co-parents Valentino with her ex Peter, although she did claim that he was ‘really inconsistent’.
The model praised her friend Emma for being her rock when it came to raising Valentino as she opened up about the harder aspects of motherhood.
She added: ‘I’m lucky that I have family here to help, but even that doesn’t feel like enough sometimes.
‘Raising a child is so much work, especially when you’re the breadwinner and have to be public facing. There’s days where I’m like, “I just want to quit.”‘
Julia reflected on her relationship with her son in her 2023 memoir, Down the Drain, which chronicled her life from her ‘turbulent childhood’ to ‘global stardom’.
‘It’s the kind of love that claws its way out of your gut, rips you apart and puts you back together again. He is worth all the blood and pain, all the tears and all the sleepless nights,’ she wrote while reflecting on his birth in the book.
Julia then called him ‘absolutely perfect’. He is ‘ and ‘the most beautiful little boy I have ever laid my eyes on.’
‘When I see him using every bit of strength to inch his body close to mine, I am filled with a love so visceral, it could shatter the earth. I am his. And he is mine,’ she said.
In 2022 she also told People magazine that she would love to grow the family at some point.
‘I would like to have more children. I think he’s ready for siblings,’ she said at the time.
