CF Montréal erased a two-goal deficit in the second half to earn a 2-2 tie with the New England Revolution on Wednesday night at Gillette Stadium.

After allowing two goals in 11 minutes of play in the first half, Montreal dug deep to tie the game and earn a crucial point on the road.

Tom Pearce and Nathan Saliba scored for the first time in their MLS careers, helping Montreal (7-12-10) maintain its pace in the Eastern Conference playoff race.

Montreal slipped to 13th in the East, but still moved within two points of the ninth and final spot in the fall tournament.

Bobby Wood scored his third goal of the campaign — his third against CF Montréal this season — and Esmir Bajraktarevic added a goal for the Revolution (8-16-4), who have been unable to move out of last place in the East.

CF Montréal, which was once again without defender Joel Waterman, will return to action Saturday night when the Chicago Fire visit.
