How Erin Andrews is handling uncertain future with Fox Sports contract set to expire

Erin Andrews has one goal for the 2024 NFL season.

The veteran NFL reporter said she is enjoying her time on the sidelines as her contract with Fox Sports is up after this season.

“I think my goal is always kind of the same as last year. Enjoy it, because it’s not going to last forever, especially when your contract is up — and mine is,” Andrews, 46, said while laughing during the latest installment of her and Charissa Thompson’s “Calm Down” podcast.

Andrews “quietly” re-signed with Fox on a three-year deal, she revealed on the SI Media Podcast in July 2022.

The Wear by EA founder will be a free agent for the 2025 season, unless she re-signs with Fox Sports.

“Contract year, huge!” said Thompson, who hosts Fox NFL Kickoff, which is the lead-in show to Fox NFL Sunday, in addition to the Prime Video “Thursday Night Football” pregame show.

“So, contract year, election year, and what else is happening?” Andrews said.

“I feel like I’m always so panicked leading up an hour before [game day], that I’m trying to recite some of [the information] and have it in my mind so it’s easy to say, which I’m not doing a good job of right now.

“So, I always feel prep is a thing I’m always trying to be really good about.”

Andrews and Thompson, who are best friends outside of their respective careers, discussed her contract while answering questions from fans on their Tuesday “Pregame” podcast, which is a prelude to their full episodes, which drop every Thursday.

The former ESPN sideline reporter has been open about loving her time at Fox Sports, where she currently works games with Kevin Burkhardt and Tom Brady, who made his debut as Fox’s lead NFL analyst during the Cowboys’ 33-17 win over the Browns in Week 1.

Brady, who signed a 10-year, $375 million contract with Fox in 2022, replaced Greg Olsen, who is now on the No. 2 broadcast team with Joe Davis.

Andrews got candid about struggling to find her “groove” to start the 2024 season in a separate episode of her and Thompson’s “Calm Down” podcast last week.

Fox Sports will air Super Bowl 2025 live from New Orleans.
