Zayn announces ‘Stairway to the Sky Tour,’ NYC show. Get tickets today

In March 2015, Zayn Malik left the popular boy band One Direction.

Nine long years and four solo albums later, the 31-year-old singer-songwriter has announced his first-ever solo tour.

From October through December, Zayn will hit 11 locales in North America and the U.K. on the ‘Stairway to the Sky Tour.’

Midway through the brief run, he’ll headline at New York City’s Hammerstein Ballroom on Saturday, Nov. 2.

“Appreciate your patience, love, and support,” Zayn shared on Instagram. “Can’t wait to enjoy great music together.”

Prior to the official social media announcement, he crashed Jimmy Fallon’s “Tonight Show” monologue. While Fallon was talking, Zayn popped onstage with a mug in hand, waved to the crowd, played his song “Stadust” on the host’s MacBook, handed him a note and disappeared without having said a word.

Once he was gone, Fallon turned off the music and grabbed the letter.

“Hey Jimmy,” it read. “Great to see you, mate. I’m going on me first ever solo tour this autumn. So maybe when you’re done pickin’ apples with your buds, you can come check out my ‘Stairway to the Sky Tour’ across the U.S. and U.K.’

If you want to put the apples down and see Zayn live on his first solo tour this fall, tickets are available as of today.

Fans can purchase tickets for upcoming ‘Stairway to the Sky’ North American shows on sites like Vivid Seats; the official on-sale is Saturday, Sept. 21.

Vivid Seats is a secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.

They have a 100% buyer guarantee that states your transaction will be safe and secure and will be delivered before the event.

Zayn new music

On May 17, Zayn dropped his fourth studio album “Room Under The Stairs.”

Over the course of 15 mellow tracks, Malik delivers laid-back, sensitive folk-pop-rock that wouldn’t sound out of place in your neighborhood’s hippest coffee shop. Think Goo Goo Dolls meets Michael Kiwanuka with a bit of Hozier mixed in for good measure and you have an idea of the sound on display here.

Our favorite tracks include the plaintive “How It Feels” ethereal “Grateful,” soulful “My Woman,” slinky “Fuschia Sea” and stripped-down “Alienated” where Zayn hits impressively high notes with ease.

Make sure to keep an eye out for the dreamy lead single “Stardust” as well. The tune has a certain magical quality that’s impossible to pin down. It’s a must-listen.
