BBC fans will be reassured to know that it appears Zoe Ball’s return date to Radio 2 has been revealed.
The presenter, 53, has sparked concern over her absence from her Breakfast Show, having last appeared on August 8.
Zoe had been taking some time off in August, after a short break for her late mum’s birthday, who died in April, just 12 weeks after being diagnosed with cancer.
However, a few days after her planned return on August 5, replacements were called in to cover Zoe’s 6.30am slot.
In the weeks that have followed, Gaby Roslin and Scott Mills have been taking over instead, while Zoe has yet to address her absence.
However it now appears she could be back from next week.
When is Zoe Ball coming back to BBC Radio 2?
According to the BBC’s schedule, Zoe will host on Monday, September 23, with her Maximum Music Monday show.
The summary of the three-hour episode says: ‘Wake up and embrace the day with Zoe Ball and the team. Zoe keeps the tunes rolling on Maximum Music Monday.’
The BBC also confirmed to Metro.co.uk: ‘Zoe will return to the Radio 2 Breakfast Show later this month.’
On August 12, Scott addressed fans’ concerns and announced he would be stepping into hosting duties and he sent ‘all his love’ to Zoe.
‘If you set your alarm every morning to go off at 6:30am and normally Zoe comes on, please do not freak out. You have not overslept,’ he said.
‘If you’ve just put us on this morning, it’s Scott Mills in for Zoe for the next few weeks. I’m sending you all my love Zo, as are the team.’
One source meanwhile told the Daily Mail that ‘nobody knows what has happened’.
‘Nobody knows what has happened but everyone loves Zoe,’ they said.
‘We hope everything is okay. Zoe is so loved at the BBC so to not have her around is really noticeable.’
