Around 5:50 p.m. on Saturday, police received a report of an injured person and were told someone bear sprayed several people in the 200 block of First Avenue South, a Monday news release said.

“The suspect fled the scene before police arrival; however, officers were able to review video surveillance of the incident.”

Less than an hour later, around 6:40 p.m., officers responded to another injured person call at the intersection of Preston Avenue North and 108th Street West. According to the release, they were told a man set off bear spray inside a city bus and fled.

He is charged with three counts of assault with a weapon, two counts of possession of a weapon, two counts of mischief and failure to comply with court-ordered conditions.
