The Saskatoon police collision analysis team is investigating the circumstances of a fatal collision east of the city on Monday evening.

Arriving officers attended to the driver of the SUV, a 54-year-old woman “who appeared to be suffering from life-threatening injuries,” the release said.

She was pulled from the vehicle and officers gave her CPR while waiting for paramedics. She was then taken to hospital, where she was later pronounced deceased.

Officers also spoke with the driver of the truck, who had non-life-threatening injuries and refused medical care, police said.
