After years of trying to unload his Florida mansion, Billy Joel has finally struck a deal.
The Piano Man has found a buyer for his sprawling pad after a six-year saga of price changes and market re-listings, The Post has learned.
Joel snagged the oceanfront Manalapan property for $22.1 million in 2015. But the price tag saw major fluctuations in value — first hitting the market for $33 million in 2018, reemerging in 2022 at a whopping $64.9 million and falling by $10 million by January 2024. The final listing settled at $49.9 million.
The purchase price? Still under wraps, since the sale is in contract, meaning the transaction has not yet closed.
Reps for Joel declined to comment on the pending sale. Christian Angle, of Christian Angle Real Estate, had the listing and didn’t respond to a message seeking comment.
Despite the back-and-forth prices, the estate — located some 13 miles from Palm Beach — screams luxury.
Sitting on 1.61 acres, this Mediterranean-style beauty was built in 2010 and boasts a jaw-dropping 13,349 square feet of pure grandeur. Spread across three stories, it offers nine bedrooms, 11 full bathrooms and a guest house to boot.
Guests arriving through the fountained terrace are greeted by a two-story foyer featuring a sparkling crystal chandelier. The home’s interior is decked out with coffered ceilings, white stonework and a sweeping double staircase framed by sleek black railings.
The mansion’s laundry list of features includes a mammoth fireplace in the master bath, ocean-view balconies, a pub room with a marble bar, a private cinema and a wine cellar that’ll keep your reds at just the right temp. There’s also an air-conditioned garage — big enough for more than 12 cars.
Out back, covered patios and a lush pool deck provide the ideal space to soak in the Florida sun. Beyond the pool lies a grassy yard and a gate that opens right onto the beach.
Across the street from the main digs is a guest house perched near a private deep-water dock on Lake Worth Lagoon, featuring two bedrooms, a kitchenette and even an elevator. Plus, there’s a staff house with two more bedrooms and a full kitchen.
But Joel isn’t saying goodbye to Florida entirely.
He’s already upgraded to Boca Raton’s ultra-exclusive Sanctuary neighborhood, staying true to his promise to kick back in the Sunshine State earlier this year, quipping, “I’ll be spending more time in Florida like old Jewish guys from Long Island do.”
Up north, Joel briefly dangled his 26-acre Long Island estate on Centre Island to potential buyers before yanking it back off the market for some touch-ups, as The Post previously reported. No word on when that slice of Long Island real estate heaven will hit the market again.
