Former EastEnders star Alex Ferns looks worlds away from his Albert Square days two decades on.
Trevor Morgan’s physical abuse of Little Mo (Kacey Ainsworth) throughout their marriage became one of the most talked-about plots on the soap in the 00s.
And the star recently made his return to the screen in BBC’s latest drama Nightsleeper – which follows passengers on a sleeper train from Glasgow to London in the aftermath of a hijacking.
Some of the most memorable moments from Little Mo and Trevor’s storyline were Mo trying to kill Trevor by hitting over the head with an iron and Trevor forcing Mo to eat her Christmas dinner on the floor.
Things came to an explosive (quite literally) head in 2002 when Trevor was killed off in an explosion after threatening Mo with a petrol can.
Actor Alex, 55, was recently asked if Trevor could ever come back to the Square – despite the fact he’s pretty dead.
The soap star joked on Good Morning Britain: ‘I would never say never. When I was interviewed about this play I said wouldn’t it be funny if the letterbox opened and there was Trevor’s eyes peering through the letterbox! But never say never. He could wreak havoc on the Square.’
Meanwhile Kacey said she would consider returning to EastEnders if the right story came up.
But she added that she felt Little Mo’s story had run its course.
Kacey said: ‘I never know. We always talk about it and we always say if there was a story to be told. I always think that. I loved playing that story, but I felt like it was full circle. Everything I’m doing now is so diverse…and I’m enjoying doing that.’
