Sean “Diddy” Combs was arrested on federal charges at a hotel in New York City Monday amid an ongoing sex trafficking investigation.
The disgraced rapper was taken into custody by Homeland Security Investigations at the Park Hyatt New York following a grand jury indictment.
“The hip hop mogul has fully cooperated and voluntarily came to New York in anticipation of the charges,” a source told us Monday.
Page Six learned he was being processed at 26 Federal Plaza in the Big Apple. The charges are currently unclear. Combs is expected to be arraigned in Manhattan federal court on Tuesday.
“We are disappointed with the decision to pursue what we believe is an unjust prosecution of Mr. Combs by the U.S. Attorney’s Office,” Marc Agnifilo, an attorney for Combs, wrote in a statement.
“Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is a music icon, self-made entrepreneur, loving family man, and proven philanthropist who has spent the last 30 years building an empire, adoring his children, and working to uplift the Black community.
“He is an imperfect person but is not a criminal. To his credit, Mr. Combs has been nothing but cooperative with this investigation and he voluntarily relocated to New York last week in anticipation of these charges.
“Please reserve your judgment until you have all the facts. These are the acts of an innocent man with nothing to hide, and he looks forward to clearing his name in court.”
Combs, 54, has been at the forefront of sexual misconduct allegations ever since his ex-girlfriend Casandra “Cassie” Ventura, 38, sued him for rape and physical abuse in November 2023.
Ventura alleged the “I’ll Be Missing You” singer routinely abused and mistreated her, including by allegedly making her have sex with male prostitutes throughout their 10-year relationship.
She alleged Combs raped her in 2018 before they officially called it quits.
The exes settled the lawsuit privately one day after it was filed.
Combs, at the time, denied the allegations against him, but a video of him physically abusing Ventura at a hotel in March 2016 was released in May 2024.
The hitmaker spoke out about the video days later via Instagram.
“My behavior on that video is inexcusable. I take full responsibility for my actions in that video. I’m disgusted,” he said.
“I went and I sought out professional help, started going to therapy and rehab, had to ask god for his mercy and grace,” Combs continued.
Since Ventura’s lawsuit last year, several other alleged victims have come forward, including Joi Dickerson-Neal, who claimed Combs raped and drugged her when she was a college student at Syracuse University in 1991.
Liza Gardner also accused Combs of raping her in the early 1990s when she was 16, per the Rolling Stone.
Combs faces several other lawsuits, accusing him of gang-rape, sex-trafficking and racketeering.
In March, Homeland Security raided Combs’ homes in Los Angeles and Miami in connection to a sex-trafficking investigation.
At the time, Combs’ sons Justin and Christian were seen in handcuffs outside of his $40 million California mansion.
The “Last Night” singer, meanwhile, was seen at the Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport where planned to flee to the Bahamas with his twin daughters, Jessie and D’Lila, sources told Page Six.
