Two teens arrested after assault in Saskatoon

A teen boy and a teen girl have been charged after an aggravated assault on a 54-year-old man Friday night in Saskatoon.

Around 10:10 p.m., an assault in progress was reported at the corner of Avenue Q South and 19th Street West, police said in a Monday news release.

“Initial call information stated a group of teenagers were attacking someone,” the release said.

Officers arrived to find a 54-year-old man suffering from “what were believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.” He was taken to hospital for treatment.

After some investigation, officers went to a home in the 400 block of Avenue Q South, where the suspects were believed to have gone inside.

A 15-year-old boy and a 14-year-old girl were arrested.

The girl is charged with breaching court-ordered conditions.
