Vanessa Feltz took to social media to reveal that she was rushed to hospital after being ‘doubled over in agony.’

Vanessa, 62, shared a video from her hospital bed as she explained that she was suffering from a ‘big kidney stone’ that had to be surgically removed.

‘Gosh! Hello from hospital. 2pm I was fine. Had just made lunch and was playing with AJ 5 and Cecily nearly two.

‘3pm I was doubled over in agony. Scan showed big kidney stone. OMG! Astoundingly painful. Rushed into theatre.’

She then thanked the hospital workers who aided her in her moment of need: ‘Very grateful thanks to my daughters nurses porters anaesthetist and wonderful surgeon. Thank you so much.’

In the video, Vanessa explained that she was enjoying her Sunday afternoon when she ‘went from completely normal to doubled over.’

She explained that she had to cancel a show on LBC and said the pain was more painful than her two natural childbirths.

She revealed the kidney stone was 5mm and she was immediately operated on by a urologist who ‘blasted the stones with a laser.’

She also apologised for ‘looking so rough’ but said she felt a lot better than she did before her surgery.

Just a few days before this ordeal, Vannessa was evacuated from her studio as fire engines rushed to Channel 5.

‘Oh for goodness sake, a fire alarm! Nobody quite knows if it’s real or pretend, but we think it’s real because there’s an actual fire engine and the building’s been evacuated!’ the presenter said at the time.

In July, Vanessa revealed that her daughter Allegra was also rushed to hospital after she was left lying in a pool of her own blood when she tripped over an uneven pavement.

‘She hurtled through the air, and we think she hit her face on another piece of uneven pavement as she fell and she is now extremely badly injured,’ she told hosts Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley on This Morning.

‘She was lying in a pool of her own blood, and nobody knew where she was bleeding from and she had to be taken to hospital.’
