Montreal police are asking for the public’s help as they search for a missing 17-year-old who has autism.

Police say Alassane Seni Dieng was last seen Friday around 5 p.m., when he left his home in the St-Léonard borough for a walk and didn’t return.

Dieng would often go for walks, police say, but usually returned before dark.

He left home without his Opus card and without any money, police say.

His family and police investigators are worried about his safety.

Dieng is described as having black skin, black hair and eyes. He is very thin, police say, weighing around 110 pounds (50 kg) and is 5-foot-10 (178 cm).

He was wearing a light blue T-shirt, shorts and grey sandals at the time of his disappearance.

Police say he frequents Joseph-Paré Park, in the ⁦Nouveau Rosemont⁩⁦ neighbourhood.
