Jesy Nelson’s new single with boyfriend Zion Foster has shot onto the UK’s iTunes Top Songs chart, marking her big return.

Released today, Mine sits at number nine on the official iTunes listing, cracking the top 10 in less than 24 hours.

The single sees the former Little Mix star, 33, team up with boyfriend Zion, who she began dating in 2022.

Shortly after Mine’s release, Jesy penned an emotional message on her Instagram Stories thanking fans for their warm response to the single.

She wrote: ‘Guys I could cry this morning. Honestly you guys are just f*****g unbelievable!!!!

‘I’ve never known a more loyal, kind, beautiful, uplifting fan base!! I just can’t even put into words what you guys mean to me.’

Jesy continued: ‘There’s been so many times when I’ve not wanted to do this and you guys have been the ones that have inspired me to keep going and keep pushing.

‘Your guys’ support is incredible. I love you all more than you guys will ever know and I hope you all know that.

‘From the bottom of my heart thank you and I love you endlessly (sic).’

Fans have been quick to share their reactions to the song online, with many saying it ‘slaps’ and is her ‘best single yet.’

Kocka_ wrote on X: ‘Jesy Nelson and Zion Foster’s new single #Mine actually slaps! Slow, sexy vibes.❤️‍🔥’

Thebestofjn added: ‘The replay-ability of mine is something artists need to learn, you can listen to mine over and over again and it doesn’t get old.

‘Yeah the song is only 2 minutes but just means we can stream it more than we streamed bad thing & boyz as they’re 3 minutes.’

Others said they couldn’t turn the song off, while others simply congratulated the singer on the song’s chart position.

This win comes after her 2021 debut solo single Boyz, featuring rapper Nicki Minaj, which debuted at number four on the UK Singles Chart.

In April 2023, Jesy released her follow-up single, Bad Thing, which was considered a bit of a flop.

Her chart success comes after former bandmate Perrie Edwards opened up on Jesy’s frosty relationship with Little Mix.

Jesy left the band in 2020, nine years after the group – which also featured Jade Thirlwall and Leigh-Anne Pinnock – was formed on The X Factor.

The remaining three members went on hiatus in 2022, and reflecting on her relationship with Jesy, Perrie told Cosmopolitan: ‘We don’t talk, and haven’t done for a long time, it’s really sad, it’s heartbreaking.

‘But sometimes these things happen and people decide they want to part ways, and that’s absolutely fine. I would rather it went differently, but you can’t control how things go.’

Jesy previously said she felt suffocated by the girl group during an interview on This Morning, sharing: ‘I think it’s just a constant rollercoaster, when you’re in a band, you don’t get time to ever breathe.

‘So yeah I was up and down all the time. You don’t get to have a minute to really know how you’re truly feeling.

‘You just have to keep going.’
