The Mets added some help for their bullpen with a little more than an hour to go before the MLB Trade deadline.
The Mets picked up reliever Tyler Zuber from the Rays in exchange for prospect Pauk Gervase, The Post’s Joel Sherman confirmed.
Zuber had started the year in the Atlantic League with the Long Island Ducks, a stint in which he credited for reinvigorating his love of baseball, Ryan Bass reported during the Bally Sports broadcast of a Rays game against the Yankees last week.
The Rays purchased Zuber’s contract in May and he reported to the club’s Triple-A affiliate in Durham where he remained until he was added to the major league roster following the All-Star break.
