The Mets have added a new arm to their roster, acquiring right-hander Paul Blackburn from the A’s, The Post’s Joel Sherman confirmed.
Minor league pitcher Kade Morris is headed to Oakland as the return, according to reports.
The trade comes just days after Blackburn had been reinstated from a stint on the 60-day IL due to a stress reaction in his right foot.
He has a 7.11 ERA over his last six starts, but did pull off a win in his first start since the return on Friday despite allowing four runs on five hits while striking out two in Oakland’s victory over the Angels.
