Tesla recalls 1.8 million vehicles over hood latch issue

Software problem means Tesla models may not warn drivers hood is open; over-the-air update has already fixed some cars

Tesla has already begun to roll out an over-the-air (OTA) software update to the affected vehicles, free of charge, that will correct the issue; after the update, the vehicle should notify the driver if the hood is open.
