So much of the first three episodes of “Hard Knocks’’ focused on the drama involving Saquon Barkley.
It makes sense, considering the docuseries opened immediately after the 2023 season and chronicled, among other offseason endeavors, the team’s maneuvers in free agency.
It has been compelling, but the look back on how Barkley became an ex-Giant is now relegated to history.
The here-and-now has arrived, starting with Wednesday’s first training-camp practice. And with the former face of the franchise now in Philadelphia, life without Barkley might be less interesting for the Giants.
