Harry Savage, who starred in the Channel 4 show Hunted in 2019, was found dead in his home in London.
A man has been arrested, and an investigation has been launched into Savage’s death.
Originally from Essex, Savage was pronounced dead at the scene in Putney on July 19 after the police were called to his home at around 9.15 am, according to The Sun.
Detectives from the area are investigating Savage’s death as an ‘unexpected death.’
A man in his 30s was arrested at the scene at the time and has been bailed pending further inquiries, according to reports.
A post-mortem examination began on July 20, and authorities await the answers the examination may bring.
Tributes began pouring in after the news of Savage’s death broke.
A friend of Savage’s, @samlean_, posted on X: ‘I will miss you forever Harry Savage. You were and always will be everything. I’m not sure how to navigate life without you but you’d just tell me to get the f*** on with it 😂 I love you x’
X user @Craiglegg wrote: ‘I worked with Harry very briefly at WeWork and he was always such a great person to be around! Very sad to hear the news. Thoughts are with you and Harry’s friends and family.’
@Owen_Lloyd07 posted: ‘He’ll be shining down on everyone in his own very Harry way. Love you ❤️’
Savage, who was a drama student at the time, appeared on the Channel 4 show Hunted alongside his older brother Frank.
The hit show followed contestants as they went temporarily on the run as fugitives and attempted to evade a group of current and former police and intelligence officials
Savage told Channel 4 about his motivation to appear on the show: ‘To challenge myself was the main thing, and also to try and change the stereotype about me, that my friends and other people have. To prove to myself that I could do something like this.
‘I feel like my stereotype is … I don’t know… a gay man. That I can’t do some things that other people can do. That was one of my reasons, and to spend some time with Frank.’
