After reportedly being a force in President Biden’s ouster from the Democratic ticket, former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi issued an endorsement of Vice President Kamala Harris.
“Politically, make no mistake: Kamala Harris as a woman in politics is brilliantly astute — and I have full confidence that she will lead us to victory in November,” Pelosi (D-Calif.) said.
Pelosi thanked Biden for his “wisdom and leadership,” saying that by pulling out of the race, he is “on the right side of history.” She urged Democrats to come together to “defeat Donald Trump and enthusiastically elect Kamala Harris.”
