Iconic guitarist Slash has announced the death of his stepdaughter Lucy-Bleu Knight.
The Guns N’ Roses star took to Instagram to post the message: ‘Lucy-Bleu Knight (December 6, 1998), beloved daughter of Meegan Hodges and Mark Knight, stepdaughter of Samantha Somers Knight and Slash, sister of Scarlet Knight, stepsister of London and Cash Hudson, passed away peacefully in Los Angeles, CA on July 19, 2024.
‘Lucy-Bleu was an incredibly talented artist, a passionate dreamer, and a charming, lovable, sweet soul.
‘The family asks for privacy at this time and requests that social media speculation be kept to a minimum as they grieve and process this devastating loss.’
According to LinkedIn, Lucy-Bleu worked as a day to day manager at Electric Lady Management.
She also had a significant online following, with 35.3k followers on Instagram.
Lucy-Bleu was born in 1998 to parents Meegan Hodges and Mark Knight. Slash and Meegan first dated in 1989, when she was roommates with Erin Everly, who was married to Guns N’ Roses front man Axl Rose.
Slash and Meegan got back together in 2015, and while they aren’t married, it’s clear Slash saw Lucy-Bleu as one of his children.
There was an immediate outpouring of support on Slash’s post, with Red Hot Chili Pepper’s bassist Flea commenting: ‘Oh man, god bless.’
