Elon Musk takes several shots at CrowdStrike after global outage — including taking aim at company’s DEI policy

Billionaire X owner Elon Musk took several shots at CrowdStrike after a software update gone wrong caused what is believed to the the biggest IT outage ever — including one that took aim at the company’s diversity, equity and inclusion policy.

A fix for the glitch caused by cybsersecurity provider CrowdStrike’s falty update was deployed and most services at hospitals, banks and other businesses that use Microsoft products were restored, though airlines worldwide continued to struggle to recover Saturday.

Musk apparently dug through old CrowdStrike posts on X after the crash, and came up with one from March 2022, announcing its participation in a panel discussion on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).

“Not very ‘bright’ right now, is it?” Musk responded.

Musk also let everyone on X know that “we just deleted CrowdStrike from all our systems, so no rollouts at all.”

Musk went all in for President Trump after the assassination attempt last week, fully endorsing him.

The Tesla CEO has been outspoken against so-called “woke” policies in California and the nation for years.

Musk, who took a shot at Crowdstrike’s fondness for DEI in light of their disastrous global outage, is known for his allergy to all things woke. SYSPEO/SIPA/Shutterstock

He also said he is relocating SpaceX and X to Texas after California Gov. Gavin Newsom signed a law designed to keep parents in the dark about their kids’ gender identities.

“This is the final straw,” Musk tweeted Tuesday.
