Cameron Brink reacts to fans who think she’s wearing full face of makeup after ACL surgery

She goes hard in the paint — just not on her face.

Cameron Brink reacted to fans who were convinced she was wearing a full face of makeup after her ACL surgery.

The WNBA player, 22, shared Instagram photos and videos of herself dressed in a hospital gown and a hair net following the procedure on Wednesday.

“Chillin on the road to recovery 🤍🦵🏻thank you all for the well wishes:) I’m feeling extremely encouraged, supported & ready to make small strides everyday. #delayednotdenied,” she captioned the post.

While the Los Angeles Sparks rookie’s face was mostly concealed behind a blue surgical mask, her eyelashes looked visibly long. In another video, her lips were seen with a rosy hue.

Sports Center re-posted the photos of Brink — prompting basketball fans to wonder whether the athlete was wearing glam for the operation.

“She doing makeup in the hospital bed?” one person asked in the comments section of the post.

“Who wears makeup to get surgery?” a second person wondered.

Others, however, defended Brink’s “natural beauty.”

“Nah she just perfect,” one supporter wrote, with another agreeing, “I see a natural face.”

“She has no makeup on. She gets her eyebrows & lashes done which lasts for a while that’s all,” a netizen suggested.

Brink took to her Instagram Story on Thursday to clarify that she did not, in fact, give herself a post-op makeover.

“I love that ppl think I have a full face of makeup on 🥰 🥰,” she wrote on social media with a screenshot of the Sports Center post.

While her popping eyes could be the result of some stunning eyelash extensions, the red color of her lips was most likely caused by the Ocean Spray cranberry juice she was seen sipping after the surgery.

Brink shared a hilarious video of herself coming down from her anesthetics.

“I woke up and I’m so chill,” the sleepy-eyed baller told her family members while recovering in a hospital bed. “I’ve been chillin’. I’m in another dimension. I’m just chillin’. You could sit me here all day and I’m just relaxing.”

Brink said that she was excited to watch “Love Island” while she recuperates.

The Skims model’s surgery comes nearly two months after she tore her ACL in her left knee during a game against the Connecticut Sun in June — ending her season early.

“You never think it will happen to you,” Brink wrote via Instagram on June 19. “And despite all the hard work sometimes it does. This is hard to fathom but I know it will only make me stronger. I will not be derailed and I will continue to love this life- I’m not defined by basketball, but it is something that I love deeply and I will work everyday to get back to it.

The Stanford University alum was selected as the second pick of the 2024 WNBA draft by the Sparks in April.

Page Six exclusively reported that Brink celebrated the draft with Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark.
