Matt Damon was evacuated from a bar in Greece after getting caught up in a bomb scare, it has been claimed.
The Good Will Hunting actor is currently in Mykonos with his family – including his wife Luciana Barroso and their four daughters – hoping for a relaxing getaway.
On Saturday, he was reportedly removed from a venue along with other revelers, following a hoax bomb threat at a string of bars in the area.
According to reports, the police received an anonymous email at 11pm, claiming that explosive devices had been placed at four places in Mykonos.
Officers and owners are said to have reacted quickly to the alert, and calmly escorted those inside out of the venue.
DailyMail.com reports that Matt was in the third bar targeted by the hoax attack, and appeared ‘calm and amendable’ as he made his way outside with others.
Around 4,000 tourists and locals were thought to be enjoying an evening out at the time – the incident meant that many roads were packed as everyone went to leave the area, causing multiple traffic jams.
In the wake of the evacuations, the local police later confirmed that the bomb threat was a hoax, the outlet reports.
Matt has yet to speak out over the reports, but been making the most of the sunshine with his wife and their daughters over the last few days.
The area is clearly a family favorite as they holidayed in the same place just last year.
The couple first met in Miami in 2003 while the Ocean’s Eleven actor was filming Stuck On You – he later shared that it was fate that their paths crossed, as the location for his project was moved at the last minute.
‘We ended up at a bar where my wife was the bartender,’ he told Ellen DeGeneres during a previous appearance on the Ellen Show. ‘I literally saw across her across a crowded room.
‘Eight years and four kids later, that’s my life. I don’t know how else our paths would’ve crossed if all those things didn’t happen.
‘I hit the jackpot with my wife.’
The lovebirds went on to get engaged in September, 2005, and tied the knot later that year, before welcoming their first child together – Isabella – in 2006.
They went on to expand their family once more with Gia in 2008, and added to their brood with Stella in 2010 – Luciana is also mom to daughter Alexia from a previous marriage.
