Sophie Piper and Josh Ritchie have been involved in a car collision.

The sister of Rochelle Humes, and Joshua, who met on Love Island: All Stars earlier this year, were involved in a crash while on the way to a friend’s birthday party.

Josh, 30, documented the aftermath of the crash on his Snapchat, laughing as he described what had happened.

‘We’ve just f***ing crashed in the taxi,’ he told followers.

‘Soph, have you got whiplash?’ he asked his 25-year-old girlfriend, who was also laughing. The couple then checked if the passengers in another car were okay and asked permission to photograph the scene.

Josh later shared a photo of two cars’ bumpers touching, which appeared to be damaged.

‘As if. Look at that,’ Josh remarked.

The reality star then began to claim that he felt pain in one part of his body: ‘Honestly my f***ing neck, my neck’s hurting me.’

He continued: ‘Oh my neck, my neck, my neck.

‘That really hurt that. I seen it coming as well.’

Sophie and Josh appeared to still be in high spirits despite the unfortunate incident.

The couple met in January while filming the first all-star special of Love Island in South Africa. The series invited back contestants to participate in the show once again, offering them a second chance at finding a romantic connection.

The pair were instantly besotted with each other on the ITV dating show hosted by Maya Jama and made it to the final, but the series was eventually won by Molly Smith and Tom Clare, who are also still together.

Josh originally competed in the first series in 2015, while Sophie tried to find ‘the one’ in 2020.

After leaving the villa, Josh met Sophie’s family including This Morning presenter Rochelle and her husband Marvin Humes.

‘Josh and Marv were together all day. Boys’ chat!’ Sophie revealed after their first meeting, and the foursome even planned double dates.

Josh currently resides in Manchester, meanwhile, Sophie is based in London, but they plan to live together when the time is right.

‘So where we’re not round the corner from each other, when we do see each other it’s nice. It’s nice at the moment to have our own space,’ Sophie told Closer while discussing their current situation.
