Alec Baldwin seen celebrating ‘Rust’ case dismissal at Mexican restaurant

Alec Baldwin was seen smiling as he headed to a celebratory dinner in New Mexico following the dismissal of his involuntary manslaughter case.

The actor was in good spirits after breaking down in tears over the end of the case, in which he was charged for the accidental shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of “Rust” in 2021.

TMZ obtained photos of the actor with his wife Hilaria Baldwin as well as his lawyers, Alex Spiro and Luke Nikas, at the bar at El Dorado Hotel in Santa Fe.

There were also filming crews for his upcoming reality show, “The Baldwins,” present at the celebration.

Alec wept in court earlier in the day when a judge dismissed the his case based on the misconduct of police and prosecutors over the withholding of evidence from the defense.

“The late discovery of this evidence during trial has impeded the effective use of evidence in such a way that it has impacted the fundamental fairness of the proceedings,” Judge Mary Marlowe Sommer said. “If this conduct does not rise to the level of bad faith it certainly comes so near to bad faith to show signs of scorching.”

Alec — who was facing 18 months in prison if convicted — was seen breaking down in tears as the judge made her ruling and announced these charges cannot be filed again.

The 66-year-old gave Hilaria, with whom he shares seven of his eight children, a long hug and a kiss. He also embraced his legal team.

Alec and other producers still face civil lawsuits from Hutchins’ parents and sister.

A lawyer for Hutchins’ widower, Matthew Hutchins, said the family respected the court’s decision — but still hoped to hold Baldwin responsible for the on-set tragedy.

While the actor’s trial has come to an end, Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, the film’s armorer, is still appealing her involuntary manslaughter conviction. She was sentenced to 18 months in prison.

Reed’s father, Thell Reed, spoke out Friday about Alec’s dismissal saying it was “good” and that Hannah’s case should be tossed as well.

“There’s a lot of evidence that hasn’t been heard at all. They suppressed all the important evidence and I guess [Baldwin’s] attorneys brought it out,” Thell said.
