Novak Djokovic cruised into the Wimbledon 2024 final with a ‘clutch’ win over Lorenzo Musetti on Friday, four days after his angry on-court speech.

Seven-time Wimbledon champion Djokovic, a runner-up to Carlos Alcaraz last year, unleashed a furious rant at the Centre Court crowd following his most recent match, calling them out for ‘disrespect’ before Wednesday’s walkover.

That was on Monday as Djokovic beat Holger Rune in the last 16 – but there was no sign of booing this time around – as the Serbian defeated Musetti 6-4 7-6 (7-2) 6-4 to continue his incredible quest for a historic 25th Grand Slam singles trophy.

Nick Kyrgios, who lost to Djokovic in the 2022 Wimbledon final, watched the 37-year-old down Musetti and described his performance as ‘clutch’ on the BBC as the legendary second seed reached the 10th final of his career to date in SW19.

Djokovic now faces a second showdown with Alcaraz – a repeat of the epic 2023 final – after the Spaniard battled past Daniil Medvedev in the other semi-final.
