Tennis fans will be sighing in relief as the UK weather is beginning to improve as Wimbledon closes in on the semi-finals.

We’re reaching the end of the tournament now, with finals set to be played on Saturday and Sunday, but before that we’ve still got the semis to watch.

The men’s singles and women’s doubles semi-finals are being held today, with Daniil Medvedev set to play Carlos Alcaraz and Lorenzo Musetti taking on Novak Djokovic.

Meanwhile Desirae Krawczyk and Caroline Dolehide take on Gabriela Dabrowski and Erin Routliffe, while Elise Mertens and Hsieh Su-wei play Kateřina Siniaková and Taylor Townsend.

Those from London and beyond planning on attending centre court today will be experiencing much more summery weather than in previous days.

Temperatures are set to fluctuate between 14-19°C throughout the day, and while the skies are predicted to be overcast, there’s a very low chance of any rain stopping play.

The Met Office forecast for Wimbledon on Friday explains: ‘Largely cloudy on Friday with few sunny spells.

‘Rain may affect the southeast of the area at first, but most other places remaining dry.

‘Some clear spells may develop overnight. Maximum temperature 19°C.’

There’ll even be some sunny intervals heading into the evening – hopefully creating perfect weather for those wanting to enjoy a Pimms or another beverage of choice as the sun starts to set.

Unfortunately the Wimbledon finals being held across Saturday and Sunday won’t see the same luck, with rain likely.

The Met Office forecast says: ‘Mostly cloudy Saturday with scattered showers and perhaps a few sunny spells later.

‘Sunny spells and variable cloud Sunday and Monday, but the odd shower still possible. Winds light throughout.’
