Patrick Mahomes’ dad busted for invalid driver’s license months after DWI arrest

Patrick Mahomes Sr. has driven himself into more legal trouble.

The father of the Chiefs star quarterback was busted for driving with an invalid license in Tyler, Texas, according to documents obtained by TMZ.

The citation stems from Mahomes’ DWI arrest just four months prior in the same city.

According to the court documents, Mahomes was being pulled over for a routine traffic violation of disregarding traffic signs.

Mahomes, a former Mets pitcher, was let off with a warning for the offense but was cited for driving without a proper driver’s license.

Texas treats DUI/DWI harshly, as the penalty for a first-time offender can include up to a $2,000 fine and 120 days in county jail.

This was Mahomes’ third DUI/DWI charge.

According to the affidavit obtained by The Post, Mahomes faces 10 years in prison for his latest DWI charge.

Mahomes is set for a July 22 court date for his DWI arrest and can add driving without a valid driver’s license to his list of problems.

His latest run-in with the police is set for a July 29 court date.

Mahomes was arrested in early February just as his son prepared to face the 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII.

He would go on to be arrested after he had an open 16-ounce Coors beer in his center console.
