Mets acquire reliever Phil Maton in trade with Rays to help struggling bullpen

The Mets have made a move to help their beleaguered bullpen.

On Tuesday, the Mets acquired reliever Phil Maton in a trade with the Rays for cash considerations or a player to be named later.

To clear room on the 40-man roster, the Mets designated lefty Joey Lucchesi for assignment.
