Dalton, 24, scored the team’s first-ever goal and its first-ever hat trick.
Financial details of the agreement were not revealed.
“We are delighted to be able to count on Claire’s services again next season. In addition to having a good size, she showed great things last season and we know that her progress will continue,” said Montreal general manager Danièle Sauvageau.
Dalton completed the season with five goals and four assists, as well as a plus-3 record in 20 games. She was selected in the 12th round, 67th overall, by the Montreal club in the inaugural PWHL draft.
