Celebs Go Dating has reportedely paused filming after one of its stars was taken to hospital.
Ella Morgan, who found fame as part of Married At First Sight UK, has a ‘mystery illness’ which led to the dash, it is said.
She has been released from filming duties while recieving treatment, a report claimed.
‘Ella began to feel unwell last week and was really struck down by the illness,’ a source told The Sun.
Her condition continued to detirate, the source added, with Ella taking a break from social media to recover.
‘After being rushed to A&E Ella was admitted to hospital and her family and friends have rallied around her,’ they continued.
‘Filming for Celebs Go Dating has been halted in the meantime as bosses scramble to put a plan together.’
They source added that Ella, 29, was a ‘dream signing’ for the Channel 4 show, and was considered to be the star of the upcoming 13th series.
‘Everything remains up in the air right now but they know her health comes first,’ they concluded.
Making up the rest of the cast is popstar Jamelia, Love Island’s Chris Taylor, Googlebox’s Stephen Lustig-Webb, Coronation Street actress Helen Flanagan, Made In Chelsea’s Tristan Phipps, and influencer Lauryn Goodman.
Ella is looking for love after not finding an everlasting connection on another of Channel 4’s dating show jaggernauts, which saw her marrying a stranger.
The reality star initially tied the knot with Nathaniel Valentino, but as they struggled to make their relationship work, she moved on with JJ Slater. At the final comittment ceremony they decided it wasn’t going to work, and JJ is now dating Katie Price.
She made history as the first transgender bride, and is the first transgender contestant on Celebs Go Dating as well.
Celebs Go Dating has been difficult for Ella, who has admitted she came close to quitting the series which requires her to date members of the public, while analysing her behaviour in therapy sessions.
‘I nearly quit [Celebs Go Dating] the other day because it was just getting so much. It was quite triggering. I don’t know what I expected going into this,’ she revealed on Instagram last month.
Since MAFS I’ve not really dated anyone. I really thought this was going to be an easy experience. We’ve only been filming a few weeks. Oh my god, it’s amazing but it’s really hard work.
‘It all stems back to certain things and obviously my transition is a big part of it, but I don’t just want my therapist to talk about my transition, I want to talk about life.’
Ella had been spotted sharing a tender moment with Strictly Come Dancing star Bobby Brazier at the Baftas afterparty, is being guided through the process by experts Paul Carrick Brunson, Anna Williamson, and Dr Tara Suwinyattichaiporn.
