A reggaeton singer had a terrifying moment on stage when his hair accidentally caught on fire midway through a performance.

Reykon – real name Andrés Robledo – was entertaining the crowd in Neiva, Columbia, on Sunday night before things took a wild turn.

Footage from the concert has made the rounds on social media, showing the exact second that a flame machine set his hair alight.

The 37-year-old took a second to brush something off his arm as the flames traveled to the top of his head.

He managed to finish the rest of the show like a total pro, and was quickly examined by professionals as he left the stage.

In another clip, a paramedic was seen checking him out after the ordeal – but his hair didn’t look singed as he caught his break behind the scenes.

Reykon has yet to speak publicly about the incident, but has been active on social media in the wake of the fire.

The musician isn’t the first to end up on the wrong side of the flames – Metallica legend James Hetfield nearly lost his life during a performance on Montreal in 1992, when he caught on fire in front of more than 50,000 fans.

The rock icons were informed that the pyrotechnics had been increased for the exciting show, but things went haywire when James accidentally stepped into a huge flame.

‘I’m a little confused on where I’m supposed to be, and then pyro guy doesn’t see me, and “whoosh!”, a big colored flame goes right up under me,’ he told VH-1’s Behind The Music.

‘I’m burnt. My arm, my hand, completely down to the bone. The side of my face. Hair’s gone. Part of my back. I watched the skin just rising, all these things going wrong.’

He quickly fell to the floor and rolled around the stage, attempting to put himself out – he ended up with second-degree burns on his hand, as well as his arms.

‘I was in shock,’ he added. ‘The nerves felt like they were exposed. My hand looked the worst. It bubbled up in two layers that came off. It was pretty much the worst pain I’ve ever felt.’

Speaking to People Magazine about the fire, Jason Newsted remembered: ‘If he had been breathing in, he would have been dead.’
