Attack on rapper Rick Ross after Vancouver concert linked to Drake feud

A group of men blocked Ross and his crew from leaving the Ignite Music Festival as anti-Drake track Not Like Us played

Ross had completed his music set and left the Plaza of Nations stage with his support staff around 10:30 p.m., with Lamar’s anti-Drake song “Not Like Us” playing in the background.

Several videos shots at the scene show a group of men blocking the path of Ross and his entourage.

After a minute or so of verbal back and forth, a Caucasian man appears to punch Ross in the face, at which point one of Ross’ entourage grabs another man and a wild brawl ensues that includes several racist statements.

One of Ross’s entourage is knocked to the ground and then gets up to his knees, at which point several people punch and kick him in the head. He stands up and walks away in a daze as the verbal altercation continues.

Another melee then breaks out, during which one male is knocked unconscious.

The Vancouver Police Department has not issued a statement about the incident.

Drake and Lamar have made headlines recently for their continuing public feud.

Earlier in May, Drake’s Toronto mansion was the scene of a police investigation after a security guard working on the property was shot and sent to hospital in serious condition.
