Longueuil police are considering the death as suspicious.
A woman was found dead in her St-Bruno-de-Montarville condo on Saturday morning, Longueuil police say.
Officers responded to a call around 10:30 a.m. to Benôit St.
“The death of a woman in her 50s was note and an investigation was launched,” Longueuil police posted on social networks. “We are collecting testimonies and evidence that could help determine the circumstances surrounding this death which, for the moment, is considered suspicious.”
“We should be able to find out more in the coming hours,” said police spokesperson Mélanie Mercille on Saturday afternoon.
She added investigators are trying to contact the family of the deceased woman and the person who contacted 911.
A command post has been set up to begin an investigation.
Police have made no arrests.
