Bill Bailey has left fans ‘shook’ after showing off his new look.
The Strictly Come Dancing winner, 59, who once dubbed his signature hair style ‘the skullet’ decided to shave all his hair off in time for summer.
Taking to Instagram to show off his bold, bald, head, he wrote: ‘Had a bit of a trim for the summer.’
Fans were shocked to say the least, with @river_vam writing: ‘I’m fairly sure that this is one of the signs of the apocalypse.’
Dawn French praised: ‘May I just say…. PHWOAR!’

‘I have never been so shook by a hair cut. Suits you, but also now questioning my entire existence. Who even am I without Bill Bailey’s long hair,’ @makeitupmammy laughed.
‘End of an era!’ @mattykedieart said.
‘Loved the skullet, but I’m also equally loving the shaved look. You suit any style!’ @foxy_stoat_seeks_pig added.
Comedian Bill, who won Strictly with pro dancer Oti Mabuse in 2020, talked about his trademark look in 2021, telling The Guardian (in quotes obtained by The Express): ‘I am happy with the fact that, through no effort of my own, I have effected some sort of style – the skullet.
‘I have trapped my hair in the electric window of a car a couple of times and caught it in the door of a tube. I had to stand with my head at a crazy angle until we got to the next stop and I was released.
‘I get called a hobbit or a roadie/hippy/wizard, and it’s all down to the hair. It’s my trademark.’
Bill won the 18th season of the BBC One competition, becoming the oldest winner in the show’s history at the age of 55.
Years later, he spoke about how the effects of the show still linger on him.
‘I walk down the street and some people clock me and they just go dun dun dun,’ he told Lorraine Kelly on her ITV programme last year.
He also explained that apart from fans still approaching him to chat about his time on the beloved show daily, he is somewhat shocked how many of the dances he could still perform if need be.
‘When you learn those routines, they are right in there and they don’t leave you,’ he laughed.
This comes after he was asked to sign up for the show ‘four or five times’ before finally giving in, and had ‘very low’ expectations before finally taking part, thinking he’d be a ‘novelty contestant’ and attributing his dance skills to ‘flailing enthusiastically’.
