George Galloway has claimed that he too was stalked by Fiona Harvey, who is alleged to be the ‘Real Martha’ in the Netflix show Baby Reindeer.
The MP for Rochdale, 69, is set to appear on Piers Morgan’s YouTube channel this evening and a clip of the upcoming show has been released.
In the clip, Galloway alleged that the stalking incident took place decades ago.
He revealed that was ‘riveted’ by Morgan’s interview with Harvey and said it ‘took [him] right back ‘to the time he was ‘stalked by Harvey.
‘I saw her sitting in this chair and was riveted by your interview, which was a masterclass, Piers Morgan at his best.
‘It took me right back to the 1980s, when stalking was up close and personal. There was no emails or texting. You had to either phone someone on their landline or turn up at their door. That’s real stalking.
‘That’s what she did to me.’
The leader of the Workers Party of Britain revealed that he was a member of the Labour Party in the Hillhead constituency in 1987 when he suddenly met the ‘obsessive woman’.
‘Everywhere I turned, she was there at first I thought that she fancied me but it turned out she fancied my job.
‘So she was a relentless and physical up close and personal stalker of mine.
He then added: ‘She called me 100s of times and she showed up probably 100s of times.’
Harvey was interviewed by Morgan earlier this year after fans watched Baby Reindeer on Netflix and believed that she was the real person who inspired the character Martha in the series.
In the interview, she was grilled about some of the incidents in the Netflix show, and her real relationship with Richard Gadd.
Following the interview, Harvey said she felt used by Morgan which she described as a ‘sparring match’ and she claimed she was paid just £250.
It has since been announced that Harvey intends to sue Netflix for $170,000,000 in damages and has allegedly stalked many other famous faces.
