Police believe the boy was riding an electric scooter across Lachapelle St. when the vehicle hit him.
A 14-year-old boy died after being hit by a car Monday in Montreal’s Ahuntsic-Cartierville borough.
According to initial information reported by Montreal police, the boy was hit while he was riding an electric scooter around 6:50 p.m. at Lachapelle and Émile-Nelligan Sts.
He was reportedly on the west side of Lachapelle and attempted to cross eastbound near the intersection when he was hit by a vehicle travelling north on Lachapelle, said Montreal police spokesperson Antony Dorelas.
Police confirmed Tuesday the teenager died at a hospital.
