Cop who arrested Justin Timberlake known as ‘the Sag Harbor Nazi’

‘Dumbass’ pop star ignored warning before DUI bust

The rookie cop who nabbed Justin Timberlake for allegedly driving drunk in Long Island last week is known as a stickler for the rules in the tony enclave outside New York City.

“He didn’t recognize him or his name,” the source remarked to the outlet.

A second insider added, “Justin said under his breath, ‘This is going to ruin the tour.’ The cop replied, ‘What tour?’ Justin said, ‘The world tour.’”

But it turns out Arkinson has a rep around town. An area resident who identified himself as Spencer revealed how Arkinson chastised him after he was caught making an illegal U-turn.

After their next run-in, Spencer was fined $145 for talking on his car’s speakerphone.

“I explained to him that I was on speaker and I was just holding my phone, but he told me I should have been using a Bluetooth,” Spencer told the outlet. “I thought he would give me a break. I was driving less than 25mph trying to get to the Y in East Hampton … It really interrupted my workout and lunch plans,” he said, adding, “I think Justin Timberlake was a victim of over-aggressive Sag Harbor police.”

Another longtime Sag Harbor resident defended Arkinson for not knowing who Timberlake was, saying:  “If that is not your taste in music, how would you know?”

“He was stopped and advised not to drive,” a source said of the crooner. “The officer didn’t recognize him; he’s a young guy. And he still gave Justin a break, because he didn’t pose an immediate danger.”

But not long afterwards, Timberlake “was observed by the same officer” behind the wheel.

“What a dumbass,” the Post’s insider said. “I am thinking he could afford a driver. How’s that for entitlement?”

Timberlake, 43, who listed his occupation as “professional” and said he’s “self-employed,” denied being drunk and told authorities he had drank one martini and was following some friends back home.

According to court documents, the arresting officer observed that Timberlake’s eyes were “bloodshot and glassy, a strong odour of an alcoholic beverage was emanating from his breath, he was unable to divide attention, he had slowed speech, he was unsteady afoot, and he performed poorly on all standardized field sobriety tests.”

In addition to being charged for driving while intoxicated, Timberlake is also accused of running a stop sign and failing to stay in his correct lane of travel.

When at the station, Timberlake reportedly refused to take a breathalyzer test.

“He did seem a bit upset,” the source said.

“Jessica is extremely upset. She was shocked to hear the news and had no idea as she was working,” an insider exclusively tells the outlet. “She was really worried about him.”

Timberlake has pleaded not guilty with his lawyer saying “we will have a lot to say at the appropriate time.”

At his first concert appearance since his arrest, Friday night in Chicago, Timberlake thanked the crowd for their unwavering support.

“So many of you come up to me and say, ‘I grew up with you, man,’ ” he recalled to the audience. “I want each and every one of you to know I’ve grown up with you,” he continued. “You have been such a big and beautiful part of my life and sometimes I can’t find the words to show my gratitude that you guys just keep riding with me and riding with me.”

Meanwhile, Arkinson was pictured kicking back and enjoying his newfound fame with pals on a boat over the weekend.
